On February 11th, the city of Brossard honoured four outstanding citizens who have made a contribution to this city and the world at the 25th annual Order of Merit awards ceremony. A special award, outside the regular Order of Merit of the City of Brossard, was made to Minna Re Shin who is growing in fame while still calling Brossard home. This 25th anniversary award was bestowed upon Minna Re Shin by Mayor Paul Leduc. According to Leduc, Minna merits the award because of “her shining example throughout the world, for her hard work that has brought her on the road to success, for the discipline and determination that she has shown and because she is, for all Brossardians, a model of excellence.”
